Kidnapped girl recovered, Accused arrested | KNO

Srinagar, January 16 (KNO) : Anantnag police has solved a kidnapping case and arrested the accused involved in the crime. Police Station Kokernag received a written complaint from one person (name with held) that his 17 years old daughter has been kidnapped by one Subzar Ahmad Naikoo son of Bashir Ahmad Naikoo resident of Ahlan Payeen Kokernag. Instantly a case was registered and investigation was set into motion. During the course of investigation, a special team headed by SHO Anantnag was created on the directions of SSP Anantnag Shri Altaf Ahmad Khan. The team raided various suspected locations and also established various check points. Massive searches were launched in and out side the district in order to trace the kidnapped girl and the culprit. After strenuous efforts of Anantnag police the accused person involved in the crime was arrested and the kidnapped girl was recovered from Gadwool area of Kokernag. A case FIR number 05/2018 under section 363, 109, 506 RPC has already been registered in Police Station Kokernag and investigation has been taken up.(KNO)
